She is also a former Magazine Columnist with ‘The Observer Series of Newspapers’. Lynda is an Award-Winning Humorous Songwriter (Semi-Finalist 2007 and 2008 in The UK Songwriting Contest and Highly-Commended - The WM Composers Award For Song).

Most recently performing Live on Air with BBC RADIO SOLENT as part of the BBC’s ‘Functional Poetry Challenge’ as their ‘Comic Poetry Expert’ – with her Humorous Instructional Poem for teenagers/adults: ‘WASHING INSTRUCTIONS - or - DON’T WASH YOUR KNICKERS AT 90 DEGREES’!

She trained as a Professional Actor & Public-Speaker with The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) gaining 4 Honours Medals for Speech & Acting and 2 Diplomas (ALAM & LLAM) and she is a part-time Speech & Singing Teacher with The Association of Teachers of Singing (her own unusual Contralto Voice - is said to 'possess the range and timbre of the Tenor Saxophone' - BATCOM).

She wrote, created and performed her first One-Woman Show, based on the 7 Deadly Sins, back in the 1980s, and successfully undertook ‘The Mastery’ at The Actors Institute, performing on the London Fringe Theatre circuit. With her rich, booming, native Surrey/Hampshire/West Sussex accent, her broad and bold range of diverse UK Regional Accents - and her rubbery, highly animated facial expressions -her Original Dramatic Poems, Verse-Fables, Fairy-Tale Poems and Nonsense and Comedy Poems, and Comic Songs, are performed with warmth, imagination and wit.

Her Live Poetry Readings occasionally include the use of Props, Hats, Part-Costumes and Puppets – Marionettes and Marottes - and as a former, professional ‘Punch & Judy Professor’ that experience has proved invaluable in inspiring young audiences.

Lynda is the WINNER of the BOOKJACKET ILLUSTRATION COMPETITION 2009 for the Leaf Books Collection 'Message In The Bottle & Other Stories’.

Not only a DRAMATIC POET, VERSE-FABULIST, FAIRY-TALE, NARRATIVE, NONSENSE and COMEDY POET/ILLUSTRATOR – Lynda ALSO ILLUSTRATES HER POEMS with quirky ink drawings and cartoons, gouache/watercolour and acrylic paintings - Including, among others, a 'DANCING PILCHARD' and numerous paintings and drawings of Fairies, Sprites, Elves and Imps – examples of which she can display alongside her poetry performances.
